Aftercare
If using saniderm:
Leave saniderm on for up to 3 days.
To remove the saniderm, run it under hot water to help melt the adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of unscented lotion onto your tattoo at least twice a day or as needed until fully healed.
If the saniderm starts to leak prematurely, take it off as bacteria can get inside of it. Wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap 2-3 times a day or as needed until until fully healed.
Tattoos tend to scab and peel during the healing process. Avoid picking, scratching, and scrubbing your tattoo while it heals.
Avoid direct sunlight as well as soaking your tattoo in water (pools, hot tubs, baths, beaches, etc.) for at least 2-3 weeks until your tattoo is fully healed.
If using a normal bandage:
Leave bandage on overnight to allow your tattoo to bleed out.
In the morning, take off the bandage and wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap.
Pat dry with a clean towel and use unscented lotion to moisturize your tattoo.
Wash and moisturize twice a day or as needed until your tattoo is fully healed.
